What a Team: Vincent van Gogh and Don McLean

Words and pictures in perfect harmony

Expat Journal: Postcards from the Edge

Vincent van Gogh – Dutch Post-Impressionist Painter (30 March 1853 – 29 July 1890)

Two of my favourite artists, one a painter the other a songwriter/performer—Vincent van Gogh and Don McLean. Though it’s rather cliché to like van Gogh these days I still do. Reviled, attacked and dismissed as heretical and inconsequential in his own time van Gogh has since come to be revered as both a genius and legend in art circles now. I recently shared this video on my Facebook page and it got a great reception—so I thought: why deprive my readers of the experience. So here for your viewing and listening pleasure is Vincent van Gogh and Don McLean in Starry, Starry Night. Please enjoy it my friends. SFD
