Crimson’s Creative Challenge #028 #Advice in brackets

A type of fungus that is seldom seen

unless a walk in the woods is your delight

they are often found on fallen trees

who lie on the ground letting in the light

but you shouldn’t be fooled by its name

and think it might make a tasty treat

for the turkey tail can justly lay claim

to being tough and very unpleasant to eat.

  1. That sounds like personal experience! Most people think fungi inedible because of being poisonous or hallucinogenic, but most are just too damned tough
