Sammiscribbles weekend writing prompt #351 #A popular lady

We all knew Lizzie was a popular girl

spent all of her life in a social whirl

everyone thought her quite gregarious

but she was embarrassed by her hairy ass

because outside her panties you could see her curls

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #278 #A sepulchre in and of wood

Within the tree lined glade there stands

a fortress, coffin-like though bland

roughly thrown up so it would seem

from pine or even old oak beams

by some amateur craftsman’s hand

Sunday confessionals Sonnetics

She holds a mirror in her hand

despite a garb of lurid hue

considers her reflection bland

and to change it what should she do

perhaps a maid could comb her hair

pile it high on top of her head

showing off her countenance fair

chalk white skin and full lips so red

or should she emphasise her neck

in all it’s finely sculpted length

on golden chains with pearls bedecked

giving a hint of hidden strengths

in the end she turns with a sigh

bored she casts the mirror aside

Sammiscribbles weekend writing prompt #350 Trattoria Napoli

As we were walking down the street

we thought we’d find a place to eat

a place had opened recently

so as locals it was a matter of decency

we’d go in and would see if it’s a

place that does a really nice pizza

but after the meal we left a bit rapid

our Italian meal was simply vapid

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #274 #Handyman

There was an old guy called Fred

he loved to work in his shed

he was playing with something corrosive

turned out it was highly explosive

so sadly old Fred is now dead.

Sammiscribbles weekend writing prompt #349 #What the Romans did for us

There’s a question that’s been asked by many and I myself still think it funny that although of me it’s often said I haven’t a sensible thought in my head I often find myself nonplussed when people ask what the Romans did for us, and the answer obviously is there for all to plainly see, before they decided to invade us our roads were just anfractuous so used were we to walking where only sheep had gone before and so we just decided to follow, the sheep’s tracks up and down each hill and hollow.

It’s a sad story

when interest starts to wane

Still so stoked!

Still so stoked – try to say that five times fast. Anyway, I wrote a post last week (it feels like a year ago) about being stoked about something, …
