Big-eared David was dating big-nose Eileen
who was determined to prove she was keen
she said I love you, I’ll show it,
lean back and I’ll blow it,
and the poor boy said no, that’s obscene

Brother Alphonso started to feel rather pleased with himself. Although it was considered a violation of the rules of the Order, a form of vanity. He found it very hard not to let a smile show on his face, just a slight upturn of the lips. He smoothed the parchment and prepared his writing tool ready to transcribe the last two lines. He had been working on the Ogham script for fourteen months. Now he was the first and only person able to read the legends as they were written. Sadly his excitement at the translation proved too much for his elderly body as he collapsed to the floor having suffered a fatal heart attack.
I knew a girl whose name was Kate
she used to stand by her garden gate,
she would flash her thighs
when the boys passed by
perhaps that’s why she suddenly put on weight

Fingers on the glass
without any persuasion
can provide insight,
with ambiguous answers
to all the sitter’s questions

On an Exmoor farm worked a boy called Ted
He drove a tractor all shiny and red
Out in the fields he’d work all day
Ploughing the earth and gathering hay
The farmer said now come here my lad
Tis about time a wife you had
I offer to you my daughter Sue
She would be just right for you
I thankee kindly Sir was his reply
But I do bat on the other side.

“Oh look at that. My luck must be in. She doesn’t know I’m here so if I just wait a while I’ll see if she’s alone. I can’t hear anyone else around. I wonder what she’s doing, shouldn’t she be in school, not sitting here all alone on the riverbank. That’s it, I’m going to sneak up behind her. If I stay really quiet she probably won’t notice until I’m right behind her. That will be a shock but so much fun when I see the reaction on her face and hear her gasp. I won’t hurt her but she doesn’t know that. Right here we go, slowly now, slowly, keep low and don’t make a noise. Oh no, she’s heard me, she’s turning round.”
“Ruffles, you naughty dog, what are you doing here? Did someone leave the gate open? Give me a hug and then I’ll take you home.”

There was a young teenager from Lee
whose breasts grew exponentially
with each day that passed
she needed new bras
it became rather embarrassing you see.

Multi-national,
a word with so much meaning
oft-times menacing
Cheering only to owners,
shareholders and Directors

Nursed unto the death,
final act of devotion,
eyes gently closing,
only memories remain
in that void once filled with love.
