she fell ass over tip,
a good excuse for her grazed knees.

while in her silken bower,
graceful limbs bewitch,
a spur to fateful passion
for when spent, he cannot flee.

Pure thoughts emanate
from his serene countenance,
smile of the Buddha.

In humble awe, we
gaze upon the sacred stones,
where Saints found solace.

Coping enhances
each decorated support
on the Bridge of Sighs.

This was the first day of their public courtship.
Everything was prepared to perfection.
All the servants had been dismissed.
Perfumed fragrance filled the air.
Opening the shutters she bowed, inviting him to kneel.
Their first tea ceremony was about to begin.
A chicken farmer’s daughter from Leeds
when told about the birds and the bees,
realised her hens necks were wrung
and if you angered a bee you got stung,
and thought well, this sex thing’s not for me.
Fighting
the unruly waves
will reveal the measure
of the craft and her persona
is forged.
Now my voyage ends
here, abandoned to my fate
on this sandy shore,
my message as yet unread
by those who would gain the most.
