When the pen takes control.

It looks like someone needs some help

their golden bin is covered with kelp

but this is not where it should be

it’s wasted lying there in the sea

let’s find a place where it is needed

people will smile each time they feed it

A blue disc in sight

while gazing down from above

there’s no place like home

If you are thinking of travelling worldwide

then I’d recommend you get a good guide

not a local taxi driver or someone like Tonto

who showed The Lone Ranger the way to go

I was clearing away the brambles and nettles

and on the ground saw the glint of metal

then I realised that what I’d got

was an intact ancient Roman pot

they nearly always have a story

a history that is often gory

for some contain just powdered ash

others are often stuffed with cash

coins of copper, silver or gold

and all of them so very old

A breath of fresh air

bringing for the future
